Lost Property

All misplaced/lost items found throughout the terminal are recorded in lost & found register and stored in the Lost and Found Office. If you need to report a lost item, you can do so online by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.

All lost travel documents such as identity cards, driver’s licenses, passports etc. are handed in to the nearest police unit within the airport. For more information on recovered identification documents, you may contact the Airport Police Department+90 216 585 58 12.

Identification documentations placed in lost item(s) can be claimed after due verification & validation process at the Lost and Found Office within 30 days. After 30 days, all unclaimed documentation will be handed into the Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Police Department.

All items found in the airport terminal are stored securely in Lost and Found for a year. Food, beverage & tobacco products will be held till the end of business day and then discarded due to health and safety reasons.

All items found in the customs area are stored securely in Lost and Found for 90 days, then handed over to relevant Customs Office.

All recovered sharp objects, explosives and combustible materials (as specified in Annex 17 of the National Civil Aviation Security Program) are discarded immediately without being stored.

Following the 24 hours free time, there is a fee to reclaim your luggage which covers the administrative process and storage of the item. Please see the table below for the relevant charges:

If you have lost your items on board, please register the loss with the ground handling company that your airlines work with.

Sabiha Gokcen International Airport’s Lost and Found facility is located on the Domestic Departures Level at the landside area and is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Please take note that the Lost and Found Office does not deliver any recovered item during public holidays.

After you log your lost item, it may take take 24 to 48 hours for officers to get back to you.

Please make sure that you include all details concerning your lost property (date, time, and place of loss; type, color, brand name, model, serial number of lost item or the contents etc.) and we will help you find it!
