Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport new terminal building designed by Tekeli-Sisa Architectural Partnership was chosen as Best Public Services Development project at the 2011 Europe International Property Awards organized in association with BLOOMBERG TELEVISION and Google.

The Terminal building also received “European Steel Design Award” given by the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS). The awards are presented at the ceremonies held at Berlin and London on 22nd and 23rd September.

 

Moldova National Wine Festival begins

If you happen to be in Moldova on the second Sunday of October, do not miss Moldova’s traditional national wine festival! Today Moldova which gained a reputation with unequalled wines of its own production since a hundred years, honours a tradition of ancient winemakers as a nation. National Wine Festival organized every year on the second Sunday of October, introduces the best production of the year to wine-lovers. The festival takes place in world’s biggest underground wine cellars in Milestii Mici and Cricova.
You can fly to Chisinau from Sabiha Gökçen Airport with Air Moldova on Tuesday and Fridays; and with Moldavian Airlines on Wednesday and Sundays.
 

LGM CIP Lounge now available for ING Special Banking customers

LGM CIP Lounge, located in the Mezzanine Departures Hall, provides lounge comfort for ING Special Banking customers. ING customers on domestic flights can use the LGM CIP Lounge together with one additional guest. Guests enter the lounge area with ‘Ayrıcalıklar Dünyası’ card. Along with this, card owners can also get a discount in private car services for airport transportation, and enjoy the privilege of renting a car with a 50 percent discount at destination cities too.
 

UNICEF’s Stars are at Sabiha Gökçen Airport

Sabiha Gökçen Airport is hosting three stars at the terminal to support ‘Stars of İstanbul’ social responsibility project, dedicated to UNICEF’s 60th service year in Turkey, organized collectively by UNICEF Turkish National Committee and UNICEF. We are very happy to assist our children -whom all of them stars- thanks to this project which will provide further education to those thousands of children who couldn’t complete their elementary education.
You may generally come across Unicef stars on the streets, avenues, shopping centers or perhaps even in shop windows.
