Sabiha Gokcen International Airport gave start to "Green Airport Project" which was enacted by the Turkish Ministry of Transportation Directorate General of Civil Aviation in July 2009.
With this project, by preventing waste pollution, protection of living in the area of the airport and waste recycling will be provided.
With Green Airport Project, we are not only to protect our environment from pollution, but also to contribute national economy. Green is important to us; we endeavor and are aiming a healthy, clean, brilliant and to have a livable world to our future generations.
As a first step in the direction of this project, we started using the recycle bins at the terminal, did you see them? For the purpose of separating plastic, metal and paper waste, recycle bins are placed in various areas of our airport.
Our works about Environmental Management System, with the participation of our airport business partners and employees will continue to grow.
