Sabiha Gokçen Airport Effects The Second Rental Payment Amounting 76 Million 514 Thousand 851 Euros To The Undersecretariat Of Defense Industries.

Having marked one of the most important ‘Build – Operate – Transfer’ projects in Turkish aviation history, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Investment, Development and Operation Inc. (ISG) effected its second rental payment to the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries as part of the Contract on the Execution of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport New Terminal Building and Its Complementaries Project. 76 million 514 thousand 851 Euros submitted to Murad Bayar, Undersecretary of Defense Industries by Nihat Ozdemir, Vice President of the Executive Board of ISG as the second rental payment actualized by ISG under the Contract on the Execution of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport New Terminal Building and its Complementaries Project.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport was awarded first place at the International Property Awards

Designed by architectural firm Tekeli-Sisa, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport’s new terminal building won the “World’s Best International Public Service Development Project” award at the “International Property Awards” ceremony organized by Google and Bloomberg TV.
In order to win “Best in the World” at the World Property Awards, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport competed against top projects from the Asia-Pacific, Africa, America and Middle East regions. The new terminal building had also been picked the “Best in Europe” in its own category from Turkey at the “2001 European Property Awards.”
